SirMoby - yes I have, I was speaking of the US only, my apologies.
I don't think that Holland (Netherlands) have needed to survive a hurricane. and btw- they have their plans together. The massive (millions of dollars) of closeable dikes, and what not. Apparently, we just don't think that far in advance!
