Too slow an effect and I don't think many people would care or even notice it... if they liked the pic they'd click it straight away, and not hover over it.
Could adapt it so galleries simply do a basic rollover change instead of a delayed one, but it'd still slow everything down. *goes around bashing webmasters who think everyone's on zippy fast broadband*
