I agree with the banning.
Don't give it a second thought Gary. Most of us believe in helping anyone willing to take the time to ask for help and actually make use of the advice. As MrYum said, link lists and free sites are symbiotic. It's in the best interests of myself and the community to help anyone learn how to build quality sites that they'll make money with, since it helps us have more quality sites to list.

The occasional fuckwad won't have any effect on that.

Thanks for the reassurance folks. I'm always hungry for information and I tend to dig into seemingly useless threads picking out juicy snippets of advice. Distraction can be a real problem and it's all too easy to get sucked into a little war and waste a few hours.
It's good to know that plenty of people here have their heads screwed on the right way.
