Now this ain't no sales pitch, but seems like a good place to ask a question, that has been on my list, to LL and TGP owners. What do consider to be an autosubmitter?
Russian - yes, G.A.S.S., TGP-Assistant and that rotorooter thing - no. I have about 1400 tgp's listed in the Assistant db, you tell it which one you want to submit to in a specfic category and it will pop the submit page for those and tell you if the rules page has changed since your last submission to that site. Okay, it then fills in the form using info from the db. The submitter then reviews and edits the form. If all is well he manually presses the submit key. He never loses control of his submittal. It is insane for someone to do it but, I can submit to all in the database in about 5 hours.
A side note about jumbing to conclusion and wanting to imitate the big TGPs. When I was building the db, I submitted to well over 5000 different links, including all the broken links and spam sites in Russian. I can't seem to put my hand on the number, but many of the new/small TGPs would blacklist me because my nickname, which was always chop, my IP and the addy was openly associated with Assistant. They ASS/U/ME that Asssistant was an auto submitter. The sites, say the top 150, never blacklisted me because I always followed the rules because there is away to have Assistant to check to see if the gallery violates the rules of each TGP in the db and of course I never cheated and the bigger ones grew to know that.
GG, DD, Cleo and others, the few free sites that I submitted to you was doing using the script as used in Assistant. I could may it work, even when GG changed his recips to include a different one for each category. How?? Well, I was not auto submitting and the rule's portion of the script check to see if the correct recip was on the page for the category selected. Basically, Assistant and the link script did a review of the submital based on the individual rules of each site. Benefital to the site owner because it would improve the quality of the submits and for the submitter because he would know if his submittal violated the rules before he hit the submit button.
The site-Assistant was never release.
I write all of this seeking input because we are thinking about just offering the script to folks for free. Well, nothing is free without some other consideration.
BTW, Jim. Before, ya'll started this board, you would often advise newbies to submit to numerous small TGPs. I am getting up the courage to tell you why you are right and what the many reasons that makes that tip wrong for a newbie.
