Good morning world

Cleo - a friend of mine is so pissed at the 400% rise in his rates that he swears that this time he's going to set his house on fire as the hurricane comes ashore... since that's covered by his normal insurance.

Having fun building new templates and constructing new database queries today, plus catching up on watching things the dvr has been busy recording for me.

Will he be playing the violin as his house burns?

I'm guessing that this year a lot of folks will be going without windstorm insurance. Should make for some real bargain basement real estate sales after the next big one.

At least today is absolutely beautiful out. The real heat and humidity has not yet gotten here and not a cloud in the sky.

What concerns me is that they get the 400% rise in rates, we have no hurricane for 3 years, they keep the money and show their 20% ROI and the state allows them to keep it.

We're facing a 70% rise here, but, I get the feeling the insurance companies are going to have to do some fast dancing to keep the rates that high. I did notice big oil got socked with a $10 billion hit on their tax exemptions. That will have some creative spin put on it I am sure.

We do live in interesting times.

We just did our last cam show for the next few weeks, since family will be here. And I'm not going to try to figure out how to be quiet for late night show while they are sleeping....icks

So today is the last day off that I can be fully naked in my house until July and I'm going to take advantage of it.

I'm more fearful that our weather has changed and a couple of hurricanes will hit us each year. Once again this month seems unusually warm and dry just like the last few years. I'm really like so not looking forward to two hurricanes again this year like the last two years.

I can only imagine what our rates will be next year if this year is the same as the last two.
