I am going to be busy doing offline crap today getting ready for winter. Not a lot...just a little wood coming in, furniture put away and a small fence going up. Oh yeah, swapping out my lawn mower with my snow blower. This weekend I have a genie cherry picker being deliverer ed so I can decorate my house for Christmas

I'll still be in and out most of the day.

Another hot day in the neighborhood. Should be 89-90 degrees here today when the sun gets the rest of the way up. An all-indoors day planned here unless something comes up that changes that plan.

All this talk of cold and snow blowers and christmas lights, and we're not even out of hurricane season yet. I need some winter.

Morning.. we made it home (see late yesterday post on g'morning thread) so today is catch-up but 1st thing after coffee i'm running to the palms for the weeks picks and stats.

(as mentioned in last nights post too)--today is my Rug-dawgs birthday.. sweet 16. Can't say he's never been kissed anymore. He met a chick in SFO. on the escalator. at Borders. 19 yr old asian chick with dark purple streaks in her hair. They hung out and apparently "made out" cuz in my spirit of openess -- he gave me in great detail a blow by blow of their coffee house date. my baaaaaby is growing up.

But tonight he gets his first piece of ass (got that aforementioned cake) and din-din at Little buddah in the Palms for pot stickers etc.

off to payroll and palms.. have a good one.

My wife has been fighting the flu for the past several days. I tell you, I would much rather be sick than to have her be sick. When I am sick, all I have to do is post, "I'm sick" and she doesn't have to do anything. When she is sick, I have to do a lot more dog watching than normal

I started feeling sick Tuesday, didnt get out of bed all day yesterday, had a 102 fever all day. Now that I have put some antibiotics and Nyquil in my system I am feeling a bit better but still pretty shitty. I was just telling my wife the other day that the kids had been coughing in my face for 2 weeks and that I hadnt got sick yet, I must have jinxed myself.

if you use a Credit Card Billing Company on your web site, change your FTP password today. Actually, if you have given your FTP password to ANY software vendor and haven't changed it since, do so.

Just a ton of stuff on the agenda today, tasklist up to 603 items due to another credit card gateway that decided to make unannounced changes that broke about 60 payment forms. "Oh, we didn't expect anyone would use a black background on their join forms".

It's so fucking nice to be back home.

Didn't go to bed until very late, more like early this morning, so sleeping in would have been nice but I had to be at the airport early to pickup my friend coming in from Manhattan who turns out missed her flight so I ended up stuck at the airport for hours waiting for the next flight in from Manhattan.

Not sure what I'm doing today, a nap would be a beautiful thing.

Guess I should go check in on my very hyper house guest and she what her plans are…
