0 sales in 3 weeks
Hi guys
Over the last 3 weeks I have had 0 sales and more traffic thean I noramlly do because a lot of freesites have been listed with Penisbot. This is really disheartening and quite frankly it has made me sick of building freesites... I initially tried to build my way thrue it but I just can't seem to find the kick to get me going on a new freesite now! Have the last 3 weeks been extremely horrible for everyone or is it just me? Thanks Xallow |

I think October has been a bad month for a lot of people (including me), but I need to ask you how many hits are you sending to your sponsors per day? Let´s assume you only average $0.01/click, then you would need 3000 hits to "insert paysite here" to make that $30 PPS sale. If you are able to send 3000 hits to "insert paysite here" you should make a sale each day.
Since you´ve made sales before, you should know your average $/click, so just multiply this number with the number of clicks you get and see for yourself when the sale "should" be coming. I personally think this is the best way to predict future earnings. Even if the number of clicks goes up, earnings can go down if $/click goes down. You´ll have to experiment and see for yourself. Keep on building sites to get more clicks and practice your selling techniques to get $/click up. Get a statsprogram like unifiedstats (it´s free) and keep track of your earnings and $/click. Keep on submitting! ![]() |

Yea, just keep going. Its a business of ups and downs, sometimes for no obvious reason. We all get bad spots and its easy to become disheartened. You've got to ignore the blues and build your way through it.

Hang in there Xallow! I go through "dry spells" all the time with sponsor programs. Keep building and the sales will come. Maybe look at your free sites, make changes to ad placements, change the way you link to sponsors on your free sites, etc. Good luck!

October as a whole, was a great month, my best this year. However, the first two weeks absolutely rocked and the last 2˝ weeks were very slow.

Xallow do you just build freesites? Have you switched up the sponsors you use? Do you have other traffic sources? It's always good to diversify your traffic and switch up sponsors a lot.
If you always converted at a certain ratio with your traffic and now you're not, it might not be the traffic source to blame but maybe the sponsor (whether it be from oversaturation or some other factors)..etc. Whenever I start going through a dry period, I just switch up some things and tweak what I'm doing. |

I have my own 2 LL's 2 hubs and I build freesites and that is it, it might be the sponsor, I have been pushing 1 sponsor a LOT, the next FS's I build will be for other sponsors.

September turned out to be pretty awful for me, and when the first two weeks in October were also terrible it had me really worried about evertything I was doing, and I posted on GG&J about my concerns.
However, the last two weeks in October helped make it my best month since I started freesite builing back in March. November has started really bad, but after the ups and downs of the last few months I'm not as concerned. Just keep on building and tweaking, and understand that there are loads and loads of freesite builders out there in a similar position to you right now wondering what they are doing wrong! ![]() |

It seems like you figured it out for yourself. While, I always say give a sponsor a good hard try before giving up, 3 weeks is too long depending on the traffic you are sending. Speaking of which, how much traffic have you sent this one sponsor in the past 3 weeks?

I go am in a mini dry spell right now myself to start out November, but then again it seems the last 3-4 months have started off slow. Last month was looking like it was gonna be my worst month of the year and I had a good last 4-5 days and it ended up being an average month. Three weeks without a sale is pretty bad especially if you are a regular free site builder, definitely time to switch up the sponsors and sites you are promoting. I am currently working on starting promotions for 3 totally new sites and 2 of those are with totally new sponsors.
My biggest culprit here lately is a god damn partnership that I am sending sales to like crazy but that is translating into very little money. Its pretty fucking shitty to send close to 100 sales in the last 2-3 months to a partnership and have 19 active members to show for it. I have been sending a trickle of traffic to this program for 2 years and have been happy but always hated revshare and have been afraid to get serious with them. I should have listened to my gut instinct and stuck to PPS. I guess my best advice is the same as what everyone else is saying, if something aint working try something else, and keep building and submitting. If you aint putting more stuff out there you will never turn it around. When you aint making money is when you need to work the hardest.

Just over 10000 uniques, whixh translates into around 2000 second pages for that sponsor, and on average I get a sale for 1:130 second pages for that sponsor, so You can see why I am not too happy with 0 sales

Time to get out Xallow. I like to say, give it 5,000 to get a good test but never 10,000. And with you having a ratio of 1:130 before this, something is strange. I know you are probably saying your were 1:130 for second page hits but still, to go from 1:130 to 0:2000, it's time to find someone else.

I was in the same boat with 2 or 3 sponsors who are well known that just plain dont convert anymore....started the last 2 months ago...
I get good se traffic to my free sites through good seo on them and guess what they just dont convert anymore.... shaving? scrubbing maybe? if a procressor sees a lot of charge backs they will scrub those programs hard... saturated could be? the free site model IMO is not what it used to be by what some old timers have told me and I see it.... I almost always get a sale or 2 from a new first page listing on penis bot but the last 2 months NONE... the surfers have went to the sponsor but didnt buy... for the last 6 months I've seen a decline in the amount of sales from yahoo to various sponsors with good Kw's and NO free terms targeted IMO to survive in this biz you gotta really be on your toes and at the first signs of your main sponsor slowing down converting get a back up going, and you should be building with 2 or 3 programs at the same time...anyway at this crazy biz with sales all over the place up and down you gotta have a good rev share program that retains... for instance my main rev share sponsor last month that I didnt build for all month because I had a gut feeling of a bad month with them for new sales went 0/6000 on highly targeted se traffic and NO new sales till the last day of the month and I still made 300.00 in rebills...to give me some also it seems that those popular pps programs that everbody and there brother promote always seem to go dead after a while, and IMO those are the programs that will leave you with hardly any sales for a time or 2 of 3 and may never came back for you so always try new programs get some rev share going and venture out into galleries...some say tgp traffic sucks but its more traffic and more traffic brings sales my last ten days with galleries had more sales than LL traffic and adwords traffic No shit... dont put your eggs in one basket, spread out and branch out... come to on the bench where traffic and content isnt king but knowledge is king - hehe I cant believe I rattled all that on |

I agree with what plateman has stated. Branch out and find some rev share programs.
October sucked for me in sales. Just took a quick snap shot of my ccbill stats for Oct and rebills out numbered sales. Those rebills always help my bottomline. If I take the number of ccbill sales and multiply that by a pps payout, removing rebills as if it was just a pps program, I would have lost money with those stats. Just food for thought. |

5000 is the limit for me...you should never dump 10000 on a sponsor that's not converting. Also that first page, second page stuff is bullshit just so the sponsor can make their ratios sound good.

do you count total clicks to sponsor or per paysite? What if you send 500 clicks (10 000 clicks total) to 20 sites at one sponsor and 0 sales? Would you drop this sponsor?

Some sites do better then others, regardless of program. IMO, it's best to figure which sites sell best and just give them the extra little nudge here and there.
