We were paying $100/year for domains back in the day. But, you were able to try before you buy. You would register a domain and internic would send you an invoice. If the domain sucked, you just let it go back. That was good and bad. Domains that seemed to suck back in the day are worth a fortune today.

That's the oldest adult one.

I would have bought more but back then I was paying like $75 or $79 per domain name and I didn't have much cash.
