down to 70F... still shorts weather. USPS is in fine form, delivering a package shipped from Oklahoma to Florida, Priority Mail in just under 17 days. And they wonder why UPS and FedEx are taking business from them.
Their standard line was -- oh no, we don't get any federal subsidies -- the entire post office works off the postage collected which is why we are much less expensive. I said, hmm... which of your mail trucks have license plates? in Florida, a corporate tag is $70, you claim to have 'thousands' of trucks in Florida, that seems like a heck of a subsidy when UPS and Fedex are required to have license plates on their vehicles. I guess that is a State subsidy rather than a Federal subsidy, so, I guess he wasn't lying. Other than that, slamming together a bunch of stuff for the expansion into some additional space next week. Should be a fun-filled week ahead.
