If the pirate/thief is hosted in the States you don't need to spend money on lawyers..

All you need to do is send a DMCA notice to the webmaster, host and avs/cc processor. I have this page on line to help webmasters who have a problem: www.indianpornlords.net/digitalact.html

I explain what you have to do on that page, so just download it and change the info to suit your situation. I had to send out three DMCA's around Xmas and one site was only allowed back in busines last week !
