In a way yes! beacause you are not charging a membership to your site, the AVS is doing that. In the case of Universal Pass we are selling a $1.00 Trial to our mega site sex Lotto, and giving a free 1 year Universalpass. So I would say yes! it can be a free site.

People that run/own AVS programs will tell you whatever they think will get you to use their program.

Like Fonz said, a Free Site is not an AVS site.

Also, related question (assuming this is an AVS site): when I submit to link lists many ask for a "backdoor" to the avs sponsor. I really do not want to provide my login info and password for sponsors...am I misunderstanding "backdoor"...? (I love jokes about anal sex, but I would really like a serious answer )

Nope, a freesite basicly is an index page, a warning page and 2 or more gallery pages. An AVS site is a site where the surfer has to pay (or already have to have a membership) before getting to the actual content.

Freesites get their sales by placing advertisements for paysites on their pages. AVS/AEN sites get their sales by selling memberships to the AVS/AEN itself (and a little sales from placing nbanners to other paysites but usually inside the members area then).
