outbound links

It seems like on both adult boards I have been outbound links and what one looks like keeps coming to my mind.
One person counts 4 links one counts 6 and they are looking at the same page

What about a banner with a text link underneath? If you hyperlink the banner with the same sponsor link as the text is that 2 outbound links?
What about a add inside of a iframe? You count each picture and it's link as one outbound?

Good question, and something I was wondering as well. Does three links that point to same url = 3 outbounds?

I personally dont count text under a banner as an extra link. I think most accept up to 3 lines of text per ad. Most just count the actual ad alond with a small amount of text included in the link as one.

Be careful and read rules as some link lists count the 2257 info as an extra link (i was rejected for having the url at the bottom without it even being a hyperlink) and some count the exit link as one.

With most, including mine, i believe you can get away with 3 banners and a couple lines of text with each as long as it is inside the same link and not spaced out.

Also some won't accept iframes at all.

Most link lists count zones. A basic table ad with a 250x250 banner linked and some text with a link to sponsor in the next td would be one ad.
A banner ad with text above and below would be one more ad.

I promote phone sex and most of those ads do not have a url linked in them. That is also one ad.

There are a few that would count the above as 4 but not any that I submit to.

Thanks, That clears up alot. It dose stun me that anyone would count 2257 statement as a link. But the sponsor I am using mostly now it linked in just about every add

They are real fussy about touching their code too.

If you are using sponsor hosted ads, you are going to have lots of problems getting listed. It is better to host everything on your site so you have complete control.

were talking about a freesite right? you got to count the links in your recip link too, some places put 1 link in there, some put ten in one little recip.
I got rejected for having a recip that unbeknown to me had 10 different links inside. if they all point to the same page one LL will accept it another won't.

That can't be right if site would count recip links since most sites require you have 4-6 recips links besides theirs. This would mean no adds on the first page?
Whoever made that link list must have been on their third case of beer.

no I guess I wasnt clear I'm talking about the links inside the recips. I'm talking about who you submit it to. joe shmoes LL recip may have 3 links inside it but schmuckos LL counts each link inside the recip and rejects you does that make more sense?
