Good Morning!

All y'all with doctor visits and poking and prodding make me nervous. I'm afraid to go to the doctor because I know he'd find a million and three things wrong that I'd rather just not know about.

Last trip to a doc was after Katrina evacuation and he said I had had a couple of mild strokes and needed to do all kinds of shit to live longer. I told him I was still perfectly capable of walking, talking and holding a joint so it would be ok.

As long as nothing falls off anytime soon, I suppose my next doctor trip will be about the same time I get my next haircut... and my last one was mid 1999.

Just fighting the last lingering effects of this damn summer cold and self-medicating the day away. After talking to my realtor yesterday, I've opted to postpone buying a house til after hurricane season. Insurance 2 and 3 miles inland is running 8500 a year and higher closer to the coast, so the places a block off the beach are a bit out of my range right now.
Ah well, I guess good things come to those who wait, and if not, at least I'll be toasted when the time comes.
