I got my activation email about an hour later too. Might be something in the site's script settings or maybe in the configs for sendmail or smtp on the server there.
I agree that the text saying you can login to your account now does give you the impression that you can login into your account now. Changing that to something telling you about the activation email would certainly lessen that impression. Looking forward to seeing the new payout options. .
