Greenie Says A Little Piss Is Good For Ya
Walrus I know your going to have a good laugh over this and please don't say I told you so.
These ass bites can not be as stupid as they pretend to be and they keep deleting my posts on their board so I'll post the PM's that have been going on between us since last night here. ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote: Originally Posted by TijuanaPat David I bought two copies of Newstopica about 18 months ago, I wasn't satisfied with the script (mostly the link formate) and have been waiting for all the promised upgrades. Wrong I have been waiting since Saturday for Dawzz to fix the bugs in the phpld news script so that I have search engine friendly URL's, my pateince is running thin. Look at all the unanswered posts in the forum that is terrible customer support. Have you no pride. Dawzz admitted to me today that it's a bug in the script. Selling software that doesn't do what you claim it will do is called fraud where I come from Pat Quote: Originally Posted by David I'll talk to Dawzz and see what specifically is wrong in your case. The category on details page as a case of missing code in the detail.tpl . I have downloaded the latest zip and the code is there so I can only assume it overlooked in your release(?) or removed when removing the escape here is what is is supposed to be: <td class="smallDesc" align="left"><a href="{$CATEGORY_URL ![]() ![]() ![]() here is what it was <td class="smallDesc" align="left"><a href="{$CATEGORY_URL|trim}" title="{$CATEGORY_TITLE|trim}"></a></td> In regards to seo urls the category seo urls were working as soon as I rebuilt the cache. The feed detail page (not post details page) was never working as there was never any seo code for it, Not sure if it was intended to work like that or not. However, that being the case and the fact you obviously expected it work like that I have created the code as well as having it use the feed title in the url. So it looks like this: http://wegoweb.com/feed/Amateur-Coup...lery-2-35.html Let me know if this is acceptable to you. Take a look at http://www.rssnobrainer.com I had that script custom coded and asked for all links to be search engine friendly. I'll gladly pay you a reasonable fee to upgrade the copy of Newstopica I have running to phpLD News to compensate you for some of your time, but I feel David should pay you to write the code so that all links are search engine friendly because that should have been done before the product was released. It just doesn't make sense to have some links search engine friendly and some not. Pat

Ya I'm laughing but I tell you I've had my fair share of fun with them jokers.
I really think I have one of the very first copies of Newstopica and if you really want to have some fun I bet I have a copy of it somewhere in my archives. Back then they couldn't understand why I would want people to submit feeds and not just links to their blogs so I could go and get the feeds. Plus it would blow chunks after about 5 feeds. Wasted 4 good days with the script and think I finally told David to fuck off or something similar but less friendly |

I had been looking for a good aggregator script figgured if it was good enough for Walrus it was good enough for me, I bought two copies on the spot then ten or fifteen minutes later you replied to his post and blasted him for using your name and made it clear you were not a satisfied customer, it's been all down hill from there ![]()

If the way I have it is ok with you let me know or if you have a different idea let me know. The way the script works we have to have the -number-number as that is the id and fid .
