The correct way to name my index page

I've been doing this:
domain/free-site/naem1/index.html
domain/free-site/naem1/main.html
domain/free-site/naem1/gallery1.html
domain/free-site/naem1/gallery2.html

domain/free-site/name2/index.html
domain/free-site/naem2/main.html
domain/free-site/naem2/gallery1.html
domain/free-site/naem2/gallery2.html

I just change some text and meta tags around and never had a problem.
I'm sure others, more experienced have more suggestions.
