Sales from Free Sites

From my off and on free site building/submitting experience, that estimation is dead-on-balls-accurate. I have free sites that are about 2 years-old which have never produced a single (FUCKING) sale. Whether that be due to my lack of knowledge in a particular niche or certain sponsors forgetting to turn their (FUCKING) shave off - I don't know, but I have other free sites that have produced multiple sales over that same time period.

Sometimes a free site will make a sale during the initial rush of traffic, sometimes not until it gets direct SE traffic, and sometimes not at all. That's the beauty of the game. You really need to keep building and submitting continuously to make a decent buck from it. Or you can be like me and give up that nonsense altogether and sit around with your fingers crossed hoping that your spouse won't force you back into the (FUCKING) labor market. So far, so (FUCKING) good.
