Since you do not need to bring in money, do not worry. When you have time for biz, do it. When you have time to chat, do it. True friends will understand.

I talked to my best friend of 35 years Monday night. I had not talked to him in 3 months (lives in another state) and there is no hard feelings between us. He is busy with 4 kids plus his biz and I am busy trying to grow my biz.

Now go spend time with your family and enjoy it! The kids will be gone sooner than you think, sometimes not soon enough
