It's good to see that most people don't have a problem. This calms the nerves a bit.
It's possible that the "Simple Registration" process could be behind the parked nameserver issue... now I think about it this never happened when I did the whole painful signup process. I originally used directNIC but became a cheapskate. I still have a few domains there, hedging my bets... and directNIC IS a good reseller.
