If a person is born on Feb. 29th, he/she would only have an actual birthday every 4 years. (Since this date only happens once evey 4 years.)
So after 18 years she would have only have had 4 actual dates of her birth pass by and be 1/2 way to the fifth. (2 years away.)

Born Feb 29th. 2004

Feb 29th 2008 she would be 1
Feb 29th 2012 she would be 2
Feb 29th 2016 she would be 3
Feb 29th 2020 she would be 4
Feb 29th 2022 she would not even have a birthday since there is no Feb 29th in 2022. Feb. 29th would not happen again for another 2 years in 2024, when she would be 5.

The email said: "by the time she HAD her 18th birthday", not "by the time she WAS 18".

I'm right. What do I win?
