Curious Hunks

Just terminate his account and he will not spam your sites.

I've stopped reporting spam to sponsors, because there are those who prefer to ignore spam reports.

About 6 months ago, I reported a spammer to a sponsor who was spamming MSN Communities in forums which were being used by under 18's... the spammer is still in business.

Waste of time reporting it.

Last time I tried to get removed from a Platinum Bucks spam lists it took 4 weeks and 10-12 mails from me time and time again I was told I was removed from list and got one lame excuse after another.
I was told it was a legit list but when I asked for the info on where I signed up for this they couldnīt provide the info.
Platinum Bucks are unethical spammers that will go a long way to make a buck, even sell their own webmasters email lists to make an extra buck.

I get the same spam mails that are build up the same way. Now I just delete them its much faster than to contact Platinum Bucks to be removed in my experience.
There are tons of sponsors out there that I will use before I ever would conside using Platinum Bucks again.

I am going to terminate the account.

But the trick is that before you terminate the account I will ask the webmaster to remove your email address.

I wanted to get you off the spam list first.

Wow, you really have it out for PB.

What did I ever do to you?

If I came on a chat board for every spam email that I recieve I would do nothing but post threads all day asking to be removed.

If there is any any issues I would gladly help you with it, always do.

Its simple.
I continued to get spams for PB sites some with broken removal links.
I wrote PB asked to be removed I was told I was. Spam continued.
I wrote PB again asking to be removed I was told I was. Spam continued.
I posted on your board asking how to be removed I was told to mail PB I did spam continued.
I wrote PB asking to be removed I was told I was spam continued.
and so it went on for 4 weeks untill the spam was finally stopped.

I read a thread about PB selling mailings to straight, gay and "We also offer a webmaster list if you require it" I asked in the thread if it was webmaster mails from webmasters signing up to your program and never recieved an answer! So I can only assume it was.

My issue? You allow spam to emails that never opted in for your mailings and you sell mailings to the email I used to signup for with your programs. I donīt like spam and I donīt like programs that sell my info without notifying me about when I sign up so I can use a "spam" mail to signup with.

If I just had been removed from the list with out getting a lot of BS or you could have told me that I signed up for this thing someplace I wouldnīt have had a problem.
But your support gave me the run around and never was straight with me. That tells me enough about your program.

I don't know of any affiliate program that would ever sell their mailing list of webmasters. If nothing else, it is just not good business.

"PLATINUM BUCKS offers three high-quality mailings to suit your particular needs. For the straight market, we've compiled over 3,000,000 grade-A adult double-opt-in email addresses. This is available at the time of posting for $2,000.

If it's gay traffic you're after, we have over 200,000 addresses collected through our join pages and our FREE PASS BUCKS program for $800.

We also offer a webmaster list if you require it. Contact me for details by ICQ at 298460264 or doug@*************.net.

Doug"

This is from a thead on a different board. (didnīt want to link to other boards)
I asked where the webmasters mails came from but didnīt recieve an answer.
Since the rest of the emails they are selling are from their own programs I can only assume that so are the webmaster mails.

Still Keyser
There is more than one way to have webmaster email addresses. Like I said, it just would not be good business to sell your own webmaster list if you run an affiliate program or even a webmaster resource site.

Keyser Soze I respect your issue that you are bringing up.

However we do not SELL the webmaster list. We rent the webmaster list.

We have Platinum Bucks newsletters and PJ's etc newsletters in which we can sell a company a spot in.

We do not give our list, we sell them a spot in our list.

As for a spam you got from a PB webmaster. I am sorry that you got the run around. Email me I guarantee you, you wont have a run around, I will do my best to get you removed.

As for the webmaster not removing you. Well after I remove spammers from our program, I dont have much pull in who they remove or not.

But if we allow them to be a webmaster I 100% most definately will get you removed.

just email me dave@*************.com

Platinum Dave, thanks for your offer, but I'll just leave it. That particular email address was spam free until I submitted it to one particular popular linklist, and now I get heaps of illiterate spam, which just gets trashed.

I thought I'd report this one bit of spam because it stood out. I'm not an affiliate of PB so I just thought it would be quicker to whack it on the GGJ board. I appreciate that you've moved to do something about it
