When I deleted hosted galleries I checked a few and they work and the signup page works.

They said that they were ending their affiliate program, not closing down.

I'm guessing that without the sites being updated in years their affiliate program was no longer profitable and that they are just going to let their sites die a slow death while enjoy traffic from affiliates leave stuff up.
