Color isn't something that makes a template "new"... color is just one of those things. It's all about layout, content, etc.

If you always have the 6 up video clips , 2 rows of 3 with text in the middle, it doesn't matter what you use for a background, the sites will still look the same.

If you always have a square ad on one side, the gallery links on the other side, with a small amount of text above them, the color of the background won't change the template.

If you use the same template (no matter what color) to continually promote the same sponsor, you will get turned down, no matter how good the content is.

New templates mean NEW layouts, not just color.
