They made a lot of money with the first Matrix so they made two more.

The idea was to sell a lot more of the Matrix which apparently you bought into. That was the point of the movie.

I'm a big SF/Fantasy fan but for some reason The Matrix just didn't do it for me

I love the Matrix and think it's awesome. Saw the 3rd one in theatres but I was a little disappointed as there was not a lot of "Matrix" in it. Most of the movie was centered around Zion and the machines going to kill them.

Confused? DON'T READ if you haven't seen the movie yet!!!
Neo made a deal with the master machine that he'd destroy the rogue program Smith and in return he'd, being the master of all machines, would call off the machine attack and no longer persue the humans and let them live.

I'll buy that on DVD. I have 1 and 2.

I loved the first Matrix, but it seemed like they made the other two for no other reason other then to sell more tickets. It just seemed to lack a good story.

So I guess humans are still batteries.

You sig image is too big. They need to be 120x60 or smaller.

I am in the middle of the movie right now. It isn't that confusing but it's not that good either

Ramster, I skipped over your post

On a shallow note...
Is it just me or has Trinity aged poorly? When Neo kisses her, it looks to me like he is kissing his mother.

That's just wrong! LOL
She does look a little ragety when she's not in the Matrix.

Jim, overall the movie really wasn't that great. It became a story telling feature. I still liked it though it could have been better.

IMO the story ended with the first movie. The other two just were a bunch of moronic fights and special effects.

Lots of people on message boards across the net suddenly started calling themselves "Neo"... and now I know why.

I finished watching it. The movie was alright but nothing I will remember. Much like 2...I tried to remember what happened and couldn't.

Trinity did look haggard in the second one. I actually haven't seen the third one. I'll probably just wait for it to come on HBO or something. I just found the second one so boring that I haven't wanted to sit through the third, but I've read the spoilers so I know how the story ended.

SciFi is my favorite type of what if entertainment. This looks entertaining I, Robot. It comes out this summer I think.
