Never Forget 9-11 (aka The Wednesday Thread)

It's the 12th anniversary of what I have to assume is the most horrific terrorist event that any of us have ever seen in our time on Earth. I still remember that day like it was yesterday: I was still sleeping when the news came thru that a plane had hit the WTC. The Bitch woke me up, turned on the TV, and I was glued to it for the next 5 days.

It still kinda freaks me out that Flight 93 crashed so close to me (250 miles south) and that it crashed about 13 miles from RT219, which is about 3 miles from my house and we travel on it pretty much every time we leave the house.

In other news, I'm very to go look at my bank accounts, as I have some bills to pay that are (past) due & I have the feeling that:

Out of curiosity I looked up how many people died in the Pearl Harbor attack. More people died in the 9/11 attack.

Still miss seeing the twin towers. New tower is beautiful, but is only one tower.

I'm too having cash flow issues. Doesn't help that most of the people that gave me checks yesterday asked me to hold them for a few days. At least it isn't just me with cash flow issues. Not that it helps at all.

On the plus side I seem to be over whatever the fuck the bug was that I caught a few days ago.

Just a day of trying to make a few bucks marketing adult entertainment planned for today.

In other news I became an admin of this Facebook page this morning. Never been an admin of a business Facebook page before. It asked me to download a Facebook Admin App for my iPhone so I did. Made my first update to it today.

Has it been 12 years already? Never had the luck of seeing the twin towers live but I did see the huge pile of debris when I was in NYC 2 weeks after the attacks. Last year I went to visit the monument and did see the new tower (still under construction) Maybe next year in March when I'll be visiting my brother-in-law again in NYC I'll see the finished tower.

Nothing special to report otherwise.

I watched them build them as a child from my father's car. Never dreamed that I would watch a plane fly into one of them live as I was building a porn site.

Out in the front starting to fill in the trench now that the weather is cooler. This will take a few days because bending over shoveling starts hurting the back and neck real quick.

Today is always a reminder of how long I've been doing this since I started in the biz a week before this event which was nothing more than building really ugly looking hub pages on a free host and going thru content I purchased to build tgp galleries. Remember when you 'had" to buy content.
