I have my own private link list. It had some 47000+ hits - I mean hits, no uniques - last month and spent less than half a gig.
You can have 1 or 2 gig bandwith per month virtual hosting account for $10-15 I believe. Choose a good one - I believe GG & Jim have a list in their webmaster resources section - and you can easily change to bigger account if needed. Hell, with my host I can change to bigger or smaller if needed.
