Tuesday June 19th (aka When It Rains, It Pours)

Husband will be back in town in just a couple of hours. His mother is the only one I know that jams a week's worth of visits into just 2 days. I'm glad he is coming home, but... when you have a chance to spend time with family, and they are feeding and housing you, why rush? They are always delighted to see his parents, and yet, they stay one night with one sister, one night with her sister-in-law and then rush home. They are all retired, so there is absolutely no reason to push it. When her sister visits, they stay 3 or 4 days. The drive alone is 7 hours one way. I stayed home with our cat. My dizziness is doing well, but I am not up to 7 hours riding in the car yet, nor am I up to her whirlwind tours of Eastern Finland. (5 visits to relatives in 5 different areas in a day and a half.. whew! She needs to give lessons to political candidates!)

I have a full plate here... so I had best get to it..

Evening.

I had a long meeting with the boss at my other job today and an appointment with my shrink. Which took its amount of energy.

Besides, it took quite some time to assemble my new kit.
So I haven't been drumming much yet. (YES, it's in da house now )
But I've been drumming enough to conclude I haven't forgot my skills from back then.

Also, when I was at the store to pick it up, I noticed two 2nd hand guitars just delivered in for sale. both of a type I've always wanted.
I tried them and loved them both. To that price-tag I just had to bring them home.
Yes, they do have names. All my guitars have names :-)
