Evening

I am working on my next presentation. We dumped our first draft completely, after hearing what attendees asked the other presenters.
Still some copy and paste, but making things fit within a 12 minute frame is hard.
And, I have to be finished by tomorrow afternoon, without loosing to many plenaries myself. This because my GF is coming over tomorrow.
This will be our first chance of actually spend a whole night together.

So all I can say is that I miss my a lot and that I hope you all are having a great day!

PS, is 'self-irony' a word or is google having fun with me?

Well, it is kind of, but I usually hear just the regular "able to laugh at yourself" much more. Keep the English simple and it will be better understood by all, even those without total fluency.

In about 12 hours, we will be settling the Cat in with the in-laws for 2 weeks while we visit the US. Leaving her behind will be hard, but she will be so spoiled. I can't wait to go, and yet I don't want to leave. I am packed but am I really ready? Sadness not just because of leaving the Cat with her second favorite people but I also know this will probably be the last time I see my mother. She turns 93 tomorrow (which is why we are going back to the states). So, a bittersweet visit.
