Sadly, JR, the family is right. But not gathering now will lead to being able to gather soon. You could even pick an alternate day to gather once this is all behind us. (We did that when my brother and I were both in the Navy and unable to come home.)

Finland also celebrates tonight. Christmas Peace was declared in Turku at noon with no crowd allowed to gather. They have made this proclamation for almost 700 years, just never virtually. Inlaws were here for a feast of desserts, and we are going to enjoy a heavy metal Christmas special in just a couple of hours. Have a good one!
