How do you promote things you don't like?

While I agree that you should stick with doing things you do like to start with - in the future (or while you are just surfing around on a break) you should check out some of the informational resources out there for the niches that you don't like - if you can at least get a basic understanding of terms used and general likes and dislikes of those surfers, it will help prevent coming off like you dont have a clue when you do build a site for that niche.

For the gay niche there are a lot of WMs out there that will definitely help out with understanding their niche. The resource section here has links to a few of the better ones.

I've always felt that doing biz is more important than my personal likes and dislikes - and I can tell you that the income from other niches can definitely keep me from worrying about whether I like the niche
