Hey amber438, in answer to your question on the other board. I didn't use SSI to rotate my banners, I used JavaScript calls to my banner rotator. This is the same way that this board does their banner rotation.

The script that this board uses looks nice, but the one that I'm using at my link list is this one,

It has an option to use SSI instead of JavaScript, but I found it didn't work if I was already making SSI calls to other files as well so I'm using JavaScript for the calls. Also I can use the JavaScript calls on CGI generated pages, like my search result page.

For the life of me I could not figure out which board ya meant..
I use phpadsnew cause I'm very lazy and it uploads banners for you..but yes, the java call did the trick..
I also had a problem with flash banners across domains..had to use tables and java..pia..but all is well now..

ok..I'm am really gonna bea pia on this board cause I like the colors..matches my desktop..

Well I don't know why I waited this long to do it, :banghead: but now all my sponsor banners, thank you trades, and board recips on all my webmaster pages for all of my stuff is now being pulled from my banner rotator.

No more having to change a bunch of pages ever time I get a hair up my ass and decide to add or remove something, I just log in to my banner rotator.

Yeah today some asked if I would add their TGP to my thank you page. I basically hate doing thank you page trades, especially if they are on a CGI generated page, but seeing as it was someone that I've known in the business since I was a young green newbie I did it. It was at that point that I decided to put all the pieces of my pages into the banner rotator.

:banghead: It would have taken about 15 minutes to just add the page trade, but instead I spent the better part of today redoing all my pages and setting up everything, lol.

I spent a few days looking into the ssi/cgi thing and when realized that it was a no go, tell ya the truth I never thought of the banner rotator till you said it..
I'm gonna spend today redoing that thank you page recip stuff..

Well after yesterday my eyes feel like a layer of hair has grown on them.

I think my next Florida thing will be to spend tomorrow away from the computer, lol, or at least I will try, it just seems to suck me back in front of it.

Something about enjoying using it and the fact that it makes me money.

Actually I would love to get away from looking at a computer screen today, but I have to get set up the new iMac and G4 that the NFL Alumni just bought, a computer geek's work is never done.
