The verdict is not in on weather they convert or not, but from a surfers perspective - they are a good deal. The idea of giving people the 10$ deal like that is an attemp to bring chargebacks down below Visa's 1% threshold. Idea being that someone is a lot less likely to charge back a 10$ membership that a double cross-checked 40$ job.
