Have you ever tried to quit smoking?

Wow! This thread makes me want to light up (a cig that is). It'll be 2 years this March since I quit. My GF quit using the patch and some pills and I kinda felt guilty so I quit cold turkey. It was hard working at the PC for quite awhile but no big deal. Thing is, I love to smoke and still miss it...

Back in my younger years I was a big weed smoker but I decided I needed to clear my head for awhile and I never really went back, though I might still smoke with friends at a social event if the spirit moved me...

i smoke since the age of 17 i am now 36 since 3 weeks or so i quit smoking.....its the 8 attemped or so, first days i am getting in a realy bad mood.will go worser as soon my hubby say"pleaseeeeeeeeeee smoke a cigaret".......on this moment i realy want a cigaret... i am getting the giggles and that will go worse too.lol.i keep running thru the house and keep working so i wont grab a cigaret......and i want it sooooooooooo bad, what bugs me is that even people havent smoke for 7 years they still will have the urge to smoke a cigaret.........i dont want to have that feeling after 7 years

I quit smoking when I was four! My dad gave me a sound thrashing!! Since then never smoked.

i have tried 2 times weed , ones when i was 18 and ones i was 20, i can get that stuff for free, my inlaws grow whole barns with that stuff and yes thats illigal in holland, but i have kids with kids you have to got some responsebility(or how the fuck you name that) weed makes me giggleling and horny, alcohol does do the same and i dont have to be drunk or high for that, i dont like to be drunk, i have been drunk ones when i was 18 and i didnt like the next day effects maybe i like the weed effects or maybe i liked the alcohol effects but as a mom i cant afford to be high or to be drunk, i need to take care of my kids.......damnnn i am a good mom..(although my kids would say i am to strict with rules)well i will speak to them when they have kids of their own....i do wish i never start smoking.but then i would say the same about drinking black coffee (without black coffee i get a headeache and all)black coffee is "black gold"for me same with diet cola i drink it everyday...bad is it are things , which get you addicted...........and i know it will alwys be in your life........take me, grab me inhale me, you need me.drink me ...you need me.........oke thats it i need a doc

I'm pretty addicted to coffee.

I'm also pretty addicted to the gym.

I also find food addictive but I've yet to be able to give up eating as mush as I want to somedays.

I have a very additive personality. Smoking a little weed for me is a far less evil then some of the things I've chosen to indulge in at times in my past.

i have seen what weed does to some people, now i wont say it will do the same at all people, like me getting gigglling and horny, while my hubby was looking for air when he smokes it, i see the effects on people and i see what it does, its in your own thinking what you gonna do with this info, my sisterinlaw smokes weed whe she wanna clean the house, while my brotherinlaw needs the heavy stuff(after alot of years of weed) to think straight. i am not saying weed is bad, but i dont wanna get my kids into smoke weed, also not into smoke cigarets, i have a 10 year old daugter, very athletic and a lazy 8 year old son, still it hurts me they say they dont like the smoke i give them when i smoke a cigaret, it makes me feel like a bad mom, which is good, because when you choose to have kids you have to take care of them also...

Actually, I can control myself not to smoke..but when I'm with a smoker, I get tempted sometimes..lol
