This is from the UTW plug-in website:
Quote:
NOTE: Since WordPress 2.1, the Ultimate Tag Warrior WordPress Plugin has had some major problems and the author has decided to stop support, especially now that WordPress 2.3 has tagging built-in. Much thanks, appreciation, and honors goes to author Christine Davis, who gave so much time and energy to supporting one of the most powerful and flexible WordPress Plugins ever produced. The WordPress Community is feeling the loss of this great Plugin, and we thank you, Christine, for proving to the world how versatile and flexible a WordPress Plugin can be. (September 2007)
I checked and the last version WP that I have that is actually using UTW is 2.04.

I've got a couple blogs that are running 2.21 and I have UTW enabled just not using it. I'll spend some time this afternoon thinking up some good basic babe keywords and add them via BA and see what happens.

Otherwise I'm pretty sure you could get the same affect using Simple Tags and if your not into creating tag clouds that would work but probably not with 2.3.

Especially since WP has begun developing its version de-jour approach, I'm a firm believer that we all need to find a version that works with the plug-ins we like and stick with it.

Nice link TekAngel.

I have never upgraded a blog (can image the number of headaches I've saved on that one) but have always downloaded the latest WP and plug-ins when starting a new project. Since 2.3 I had already started saying enough is enough and was planning on staying in the 2.2 range for the rest of my blog work.

I really rely on UTW for a lot of things and I'm not willing to go searching for other things that may or may not fit the bill so I'll check 2.21 on my splogs and if that doesn't cause too many problems stick with it.

But in the future, I'll start checking the 2.0x versions and find the latest one that seems compatible with my existing plug-ins.

Well the SEO plugs for Blogs don't work too good if you ask me, just Install the Google Sitemaps plugin, get your sitemap on the google.com/webmaster thingy so they load all your links.

Managing the tags with WP is indeed kinda fishy, please teach me if you find out more ^^

I also seems that the person who wrote the UTW plug-in has gotten tired of chasing the multiple WP upgrades and is no longer developing the plug-in.

So unless you want to edit every post and add your tag list, there is no easy way to do it.
I had a new fetish blog on my projects list until I installed the WP 2.3x and a copy of BA and found out there's no good way to handle the tagging arrangement I wanted to use. The UTW plugin won't work with the new WP and the same (or very similar) problems using BA's tagging method with WP 2.3x.

Right now I'm waiting to see what the next version of BA looks like. I'm hoping Kaktus builds in a way to add tags there and have them appear correctly in WP 2.3x versions. Also, I'm sure there will be more plugins for the +2.3x versions of WP once developers have had time to, well, develop them.

In the meantime, I have blogs still running on WP 2.0x which are doing just what I want them to do. I like some of the new features in 2.3x but for me it's not ready for production use until BA and some other plugins catch up with how it does things.

I dropped in the Simple Tag plug above, and fed it the tags set up in BA. Take a peek if you get a chance. I changed the default in Simple Tags as per their website.

I suppose they are supposed to link like that... Seems like a traffic leak having all those links in the post.

instead of yourblog.com/?p=123

Good luck and if you want to trade links with http://www.bestxxxmedia.com PM me
Lesson learned today - When setting the permalink structure this way, you should not change your post titles or your links will go 404.

Also special characters like "-" in the post title or your can cause 404 errors.

Looks like your template is calling http://www.pussymeister.com/wp-conte.../header_bg.gif as a background image - this is a slice image about 10 pixels wide and is repeated across the header. If you can edit the code to set header width, it's then a simple matter to place an image in the header. take a look at http://www.outlawpornblogs.com/ - I had to change templates because my original had a bug in it - took me about 5 minutes to make a header image. I did the same to http://www.outlawinternet.com/ but had to do a little more image editing and gradient work there.

Hit me up on ICQ (number is in my profile) and I'll see if we can work through the header issue.

I wouldn't link to technorati. That is a leak. I've not really used Simple Tags but with UTW you could set those links to your site and the tag became a simple navigation tool for those who were looking for more of what you have to say about "pussy".

The problem is that WP seems to be releasing a "new version" about every six weeks. Or at least an updated version. In my estimation thats way too often, it can't be fully debugged and never really gives the plug-in builders time to catch up.

Ahh, I see now I can set up links in BA for tags so tags will go anywhere I choose. Nice! It looks like with BA and simple tags I can finally get this right. I'll PM you when I get this fixed, maybe you can take a peek.

Should I trim the tags a bit? What do you think about using "playboy" and "penthouse" linking to their site with my codes?

Hey papa, I'm going to play with the header image a bit...will be hitting you up with icq.
