Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

I've used both sponser and bought content. You would think unsaturated bought content would help with conversion if you picked the right content for the paysite your sending traffic to. For me though most of my sells from freesites have come from ones that I built using sponser content.

I've been fortunate enough to hardly ever see the same sponsor content in my queue more than once or twice. ![]() It might, if it weren't for the fact that the content free site builders tend to buy is the low end stuff which seems more over-used than most sponsor content. Most sponsor content is at least quality. Plus, so many paysites have a certain twist to them, so finding appropriate and affordable content can be very difficult, unless you are promoting a more generic babes/lesbian site. Even then, if the content is making the surfer want to sign up, they'd probably expect to find much more of that particular babe in the members area. If I'm a surfer and I make it to the galleries, I want to see a sample of what's inside the site that is being advertised, including watermarks. If the content is over-saturated then move on to another sponsor. If you have a members pass and cut your own vids then others shouldn't have the same content as you. If it's about too much of the same sponsor being submitted, well I can buy big tit content and then advertise for Brazzers with every freesite so the content isn't the problem. BTW, I'm one of those 1:1200 - 1:2500 with freesite conversions. So if you submit and don't see 1:100 - 1:500 ratios that were mentioned above, don't worry because you are not alone. |

Do your submitters make dollar one? Being a "good submitter' is not a measure of profitability. In fact it could be an indicator on non-profitability as they cannot afford content. Quote:
Who are these people and how do you know they are out of touch? You posted that opinion before anyone had even posted in this thread. DD

It only works for premium sites, and the rarer the niche, the better it works. You can also build regular or "free" AVS sites to feed your premium site

It's not as easy as this. It's not about if the content is sponsor content or bought. It's about whether the content appeals to the surfer enough to get him to go to the site and once there sign up because it's what he came looking for. It could be bought or it could be sponsor content.
It might be bought or it might be given. It may be you can't buy the niche and style the sponsor's site is selling. Most of the non exclusive content is shot for the mass market, small niches are around, but usually over sold. Because the content providers shoot for the mass market. Then does the shooter know what he's shooting. Tough one to get right and needs skill and hard work. But not impossible. It might be the sponsor has so little you can't get anything that has not been submitted many times before. Small sites have limited content to give to affiliates, how many were there before you? Use it when it's fresh, or go right back and hope what you use has been forgotten by the people checking submissions. With the amount of work some models do you might be able to buy content of the model who is in site and have a lot less people using it than sponsor content. Make sure the content fits the site you're sending the traffic to. It might be the content being given to you for free is non exclusive content. Sponsors buy non exclusive content and give it to affiliates as free content. If only it were as easy as bought or sponsor content. ![]() |

Some sponsors also buy low end stuff to give to affiliates. They will not pay extra for it either. They are more interested in the price than the quality. Affiliates need to be able to spot it.

I've been building free sites for about six years and have bought one set of content. I use sponsor content exclusively now because when I was a surfer it really pissed me off to see a hot babe on a site and click to see more of her and she's not there. The sponsor's I use put up fresh content almost daily in one niche or another and by checking the sponsor's on a daily basis I'm one of the first to get their content before everyone and his brother gets it. I also have access to members' areas so I can get content that usually only members get. If anyone wants to know who posts fresh content for webmasters hit me up and I'll give you my ref. codes.....

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

The only major LL that doesn't allow sponsor content that I'm aware of is Richard's Realm (by major, I mean it sends a good amount of traffic when you're listed).
I use sponsor content in 90% of my FS, because I think it's easier to sell the site with samples from the site. I have tons of bought content though, so sometimes I will put together a site with that, watermark the content to one of my portals and push a mix of my portals, dating sponsors and a regular sponsor in the same niche. Can't say much about better or worse conversions with either way - I think there are other factors which may be more important.

That's because I only know of ONE link list with rules which explicitly state that they don't accept sponsor content - though that's a lie and they do list free sites built with sponsor content - and that person is out of touch. Of course, I realize that my opinion here is of diminishing popularity since I no longer toe the party line.

Richards Realm has taken several of my sites made with sponser content. It took them a while to start taking my sites though, whether I was using sponser content or bought content.
