Of the 3 currently on ESPN Sunday Night, I would have thought the other 2 would be up for the job and Joe would be on a sideline somewhere....

I think Maquire (sp?) is just as big of an idiot, and I can barely watch some of the Sunday night games because of the pair of them. The play by play guy isn't that bad though. But, the fact that I can't recall his name right now is probably one of the reasons he didn't get the job. (that and I'm sure Al will be doing the play-by-play)

For those who missed it, the Pats beat the Jets in the last MNF on ABC 31-21, the Jets also lost to the Browns 31-21 on the first MNF on ABC.

Also Vinny became the only player in NFL history to throw at least one TD pass in 19 straight seasons, he was tied with Unitis and Fran for 18 when he connected with a great throw/catch Coles with 1:10 left and this was also the first NFL game in history to have two 40+ year old QB's throw a pass as Flutie also got into the game.

Al Michaels also said that “this is the final Horse Trailer of the game” so I wonder who has the rights to it and why it isn’t being used on ESPN or NBC.

Anyone else watching the Alamo Bowl and if so, is this officiating not the worse you have ever seen? I have never seen so many bad calls, no calls and slow calls in one game before, it’s like none of the refs want to be the one that has to make a call. It is so bad even the announcers are making fun of them. This group of refs are from the Sun Belt Conference and I think they need to go back there and let the BCS schools have a real officiating crew.

Michigan got fucked, the refs cost them the game, for those who have not seen it, turn on ESPN, we was 12 yards from topping "The Play" (Cal vs Stanford when the Band caom on the field) the refs let 50+ Nebraska players run on the field and I mean all over the field WHILE THE PLAY WAS STILL ALIVE AND NO FLAG???????

UM did a great job and almost got the TD when it was 11 vs 60+

These refs need to be banned from the NCAA.

I did not see it but that is fucked. Sounds like there should have been a flag.

Monday Night Football will be missed. On ESPN next year which in Canada we don't get but I'm sure our sports station will pick it up like it does the Sunday night games.

Here's a rant. Anyone else sick and fucking tired of hearing how goddam great Brett Favre is when he is playing? It's to the point I can't even watch the games with Madden and evey other announcer saying noone could do what Favre does, blah blah blah. I like the guy. He is a good player and was once great! But give it a fucking rest.

I agree, Brett was great at one time, but his time has come, I will miss his play, but this year proved he needs to go.

Brett Favre is a great QB.

He desperately needs to be traded (that won't happen) to a team that has a decent front line with more capable/proven not injury prone wideouts and backs. The Pack D has been crummy all year which puts a little more pressure on him to try to drum up ANYTHING. Too bad he quite possibly won't sign elsewhere where there is a team that needs an arm and has everything else already to go.

was that the game where the kickers MISSED the Field goals? The game were the recievers SLIPPED while running their routes and no defender any where near them when they fell?? Was that the game you just watched on ABC? Cuz thats the one I watched.

Blocked Field Goals, OK thats good football. A reciever or his defender slipping, falling cuz the coverage/route running is two guys stepping into each others steps at full speed. THAT's good footall.

Slips and Misses..........nope not great ball. It was a fun game to watch but it was no SC-ND at southbend.

Tomorrow, The longhorns will pay the price for being ranked number 2. Now THATS gonna be fun.

when its YOUR school, its fun. Like watching your brother slaughter the other guy in a wrestling match or your nieces cut up the opponents in doubles tennis. Everyone else, even wrestling and tennis enthusiast will be bored, but not you cuz its FAMILY.

Every touchdown and every fumble recovery is gonna make the smoke of my cigars that much tastier. there's nothing like watching family be giants on the field.

A REAL game is the struggle for every yard, every pass, every kick, every 1st down....not a one sided slaughter...those are....boring! Even when it is MY Alumni. I either go to bed when those happen or find some work to do.

And who gives a fuck if the quarter back's sister is dating an opposing player......give me the damn game.

I enjoyed the FSU v Penn St. game myself, along with the Texas Tech v Alabama game. The Peach Bowl stunk (unless you an LSU fan) and the Alamo Bowl was a fiasco due to the officiating.

Just hope the Rose Bowl can keep my attention.

I was thinking the exact thing yesterday until they did a long shot of her and there standing behind her was the nicest set of coed tits in a yellow top. That sister blocked out all of this chick's body but those nicely shaped tits in the yellow.

Tivo is so cool!
