Hard Links

Does exchanging hard links mean placing links to your site on someone elses site in return for displaying their link on your site?

Just want to clarify this. I am starting my first tgp and was wondering if this is what I should request when adding referring sites to my friends list.

A hard link is a hard coded link.. not run through a script or anything, which may be the case if you're using a traffic skimming script like TurboTrafficTrader and the like. Just plain old <a href="domain">Text here</a>.
