Most amusing yet:

Pudster sent our his "fuckedcompany" newsletter today, finally letting on to what everyone has already figured out: he "went hollywood", moved to the west coast, and set up adbrite with a pile of VC money. I truly suspect his VC people would be really pleased to see how this is all going.

Hopefully this doesn't damage his bottom line too much.

Thanks Aly for your efforts. We all appreciate it.

The best way to attack the Fusker problem I think, is at the partner/sponsor/host level. Make their partners aware of the situation and if they still do nothing, expose them on the boards.

Pud, now I know why that name is familiar...I used to read FuckedCompany for shits and giggles once in a while. What's his history in the adult biz? I haven't been following his work since the occasional FuckedCompany visit.

I'm just glad to see that fusker was removed from the adbrite system. I spend quite a bit of money with adbrite and it bothered me that a site like fusker was one of the higher-traffic sites in their listings. I run a popular blog toplist and I always delete any blogs I find using fuskered content, or that contain a link to fusker. I am amazed and gratified that AVN was so responsive to this issue when it was brought to their attention. Thanks, Aly!

Don't jump so quickly, guys.
I just spoke to a sponsor that is on the fusker site and guess what? Their ads were being served by adbrite. They had no idea their link was there.

If you look at the way the site is laid out, I believe they have a direct relation with dvddollars.com as the adbright links are not served (it says the site is inactive)

although, they may actually be quite intertwined with dvddollars since their referral link does change using subdomains and different spellings.

The Google cached version shows an affiliate link of /?refaff=12995
As Chris just pointed out, hitting refresh on the current version brings up variations of the domain.

Contacted ami via Netpond and the reaction was one of shock.

They may have pulled themselves from fusker.lewww, but there are plenty of other sites they are still advertising on that are indentical in practice, such as Ripper and Usefulidiot. Take a gander at this page: http://dir.avnads.com/index.cgi?a=86

After looking at that page I find it hard to believe that this was all an "accident" and "nobody knew" what types of sites alot of these are. : /

Thats so funny the fusker traffic selling for 10-12 cents a click, oh ya gotta be some quality traffic there.

Another one I've been seeing in my logs is http://www.babehunt.org/fusker/index.php DONT GO THERE, as norton went off on me. But again, all kinds of adbrite ads on the page. Also ass traffic and give me pink ads. Saw some payserve galleries listed. Just wanted the powers to be know, yet another site.

Hi all! Certaintly wish that my first post on this board was...well...not having to deal with shady Affiliates, but I do GREATLY appreciate Urb and cb34 giving me a head's up.

HOWEVER...thanks to your vigilance, and because of hot linking, as of today we will no longer make payments on any
traffic sent to our site from http://fusker.lewww.com/index.php?offset=30.

SugarDVD and all affiliated sites, have no interest in maintaining/developing relationships with Affiliates/Web"masters" who steal from the very people who are the heart of our Affiliate Program.

I am relatively new to the organization, and was hired as Affiliate Manager specifically to make sure that all of our Affiliates interests were being served, and that they were taken care of. I'll be looking at Affiliate sign-ups in a whole new way going forward.

Thanks Again...and um...hello board

I think that unlike adbrite, ami isn't in a position to make the banners disappear.

However, I would think it better if ami arranged with the program to first send those hits to a "account closed because he is a thief" page, with a "click here to continue on for DVDs" link.

yeah...unfortunately, i'm not in a position to make the banners/links disappear. we've asked the Affiliate several times to remove the link...he has not as of yet. that link should be blocked w/in the next 48 hours. blech.....grossgrossgross.

and again...if anyone EVER sees any sites like this using SugarDVD/DVDDollars as a sponsor...holla at a biaaaatch...i'll be more than happy to hurt 'em

I recommend highly that adbrite take a few moments to run a grep on their serverlogs and look for refers from fusker. it isn't enough to just take down the single site that was named. A proactive approach to stopping bandwidth theft and copyright infringement is an important part of an honest and upfront business.

Email sent to pud and Aly again, there is a list of sites on the front of fusker, all which appear to use adbrite. it would appear that adbrite is the default advertising system installed when a new version of fusker is sold ($100 per copy, and you have to keep the ads on the page!).

I am starting to wonder if there is a more clear partnership arrangement here.

Ami, go to see you around, and congrats on taking the most important step: Stop paying thieves. That goes a long way to solving the issue.

I would highly recommend to all programs out there to take a few moments and have someone grep your referal logs for the last 24 hours and look for terms like "fusker" and fukster" and other similar things. You don't want to accidentally be providing payouts and financial support to people who's only goal is to steal bandwidth and violate copyright in a major manner.

I think I am going to start a list of domains with fusker on it, so that programs can move to get rid of these losers once and for all.
