Generally just a reference that can be checked. If you claim to be affiliated with a magazine, they may want you to fax a copy of your article & byline, or a phone number of someone that they can confirm this with.

I received mine from the camera crew that was following me around last year. They simply added me to their roster.

Every time we begin to discuss Internext, I want to go. But each time, as the thread grows, I am reminded of the reasons I have never bothered to go before. I really hate spending money on stupid shit, especially when I could invest that money into my house or something important, like a bigger tv.

I go through this every time, but that is probably due to my mental instability. Part of me wants a floor pass because I've never seen the floor, but I keep hearing that it isn't worth it. Having been to 'the floor' three times in the past three years, I have to say that I really enjoyed it the first time, probably because it was all so new and so exciting (me and Url were pretty wide-eyed first time round), but I was a little disappointed as to how much less there was to see and do the second time, and totally dismayed with last year's offerings. If you aren't brassy enough to have made connections, Vegas can be a pretty lonely place.

Not being a party person, and pretty shy about inviting myself to webmaster gatherings, I can't say as the Vegas Internext trip is worthwhile. Other than the great deals on accommodation the past few years...which appear to have dried up this time around...and the pure fun of visiting Vegas for a couple of days, I can think of dozens of places I'd rather spend the $$$

Useless I have been to Vegas Internext 2 times and honestly unless you gamble and really like to gamble, it may not be worth going to. Yes you get to meet a lot of people and yes there’s always a good party, but weigh that versus the $3000 to $5000 it will cost.

We was going to go, but we decided we would much rather save our money and spend it on a 2 week vacation to the Pacific Northwest in May, I know I will spend less then half in 2 weeks in the PNW then I will spend in 4-5 days in Vegas.

That’s my opinion on it, but if you do go, no way in hell would I spend a dime on anything with AVN especially the floor passes, so not worth it.

Well judging by previous experience, the Venetian will probably only have $25 minimum hand tables. So if I do make it, I'll be downtown playing $5/hand Pai Gow Poker at Binion's.

Hmmm...Well last time I stayed there, and mind you it was over a weekend, come 8pm they closed down all the $5/10 tables and set the minimum to $25. So we shot downtown and slummed it. The slums suit me better anyway!

My point exactly. Until very recently, I've been within a few feet of my home phone at all times, except when I'm bringing the kids to school. Out of the very few people who call me, no one needs me immediately. I am a horribly unimportant person.
