Good morning world

Time just feels wrong this morning. My brain knows it's 8:30 but all the damn clocks are telling me it's an hour later. I had the same feeling getting up at 4 am. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be able to start successfully tricking my mind again soon.

Since the "National Treasure" movie, a lot of people seem to know that Benjamin Frankin invented Daylight Saving Time. I don't think that many know he suggested it as a joke.

If Ben was around today, I'm sure he'd have some interesting comments to make about what we're doing with his notion.

Good morning everyone (almost afternoon already, I know....)

First off, this interesting story: George Clooney hates gawker stalker so much, that he is trying to mount a disinformation campaign to make the site worthless: http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movi....ap/index.html

meanwhile, it's another day of producing porn and trying to find more traffic... the enternal goal, I guess. More news later

Afternoon all -
I'm way the hell behind today. It was loonngg hard weekend.
Friday and Saturday was spent sandbagging a few houses down near the river. Those bastards are heavy.
Saturday night went over to a friends for a Bday party. Turned into a poker party. Got home sometime on Sunday.
Was pretty beat on Sunday so I didn't do much of all.
This morning, the clock thing really messed me up too, so I dropped the kids off at school and went back to bed

We are in one of the couple of states in Australia that doesn't have daylight savings but when I lived down south I did and I remember it did screw with my head. Hehe we had an old premier here that said if we got daylight savings it would confuse the cows and fade the curtains. We had a test run I think one year and a referendum (if my dodgy memory is right) and the majority said no. Mostly it was south east business people that said yes.

After 30 years without touching our clocks the businessmen emboldened by our current political climate put us back on the time changing crap. I haven't met one person that likes it.

Guess the voters of this state will probably re-elect the politicians so they can blame them everything rather than take responsibility for themselves
