Here in beautiful downtown Brampton Ontario, it's not unusual for Sikhs to try to kill Sikhs over "temple disputes".
When I was 12 my Dad tried to enroll me in The Boys Brigades, an offshoot of the local Baptist Church. Basically a paramilitary damn near fascist outfit where blind obedience to your 14 year old commander was mandatory. He thought it might bring me closer to the Big Guy. I went to one meeting and got into a fist fight (which I lost badly), and said fuck it, doubt they wanted me back anyways. Nothing against religion though, I still consider myself a Christian, but I have no use for churches, preachers, priests, and such. Jesus hung out with the whores, the publicans, the fishermen and the adulterers, and those are also my kind of people  The problem with organized religion is the pompous hypocritical assholes who run the show and draw the paychecks.
