What makes a good Sponsor Hosted RSS Feed

excellent thread. I'm trying to get to where I'm updating one of my sponsor feeds once a week. I'll read over everything in this one more time before I make my next post.

Just a few things I forgot to mention before.

Exclamation Points!!! (actually I mean UNneeded Exclamation Points!!!)

I wish sponsors would hire writers who understand how to construct a sentence or sentence fragment which actually exclaims something. But instead they hire writers who stick exclamation points--including multiple exclamation points--at the end of sentences where they oh so clearly do not belong. I've seen posts with every sentence ending with an exclamation point (can you believe it?!). Sponsors should just stop using exclamation points in their posts and they'll be way ahead compared to trying to figure out where to use one (since in most cases they shouldn't be using one at all). You can only cry "wolf!!!" so many times with no wolf there before readers stop believing you.

Sponsors need to stop putting border attributes in their image tags. Some blogs want borders around images. Some blogs don't. Don't try to make design decisions in advance for your affiliates. You're going to be wrong and it will cost you sales.

TESTING the RSS Feeds

Sponsors really need to create some test blogs and use all of the most popular RSS feed management plugins and stand-alone scripts to load their own feeds into the test blogs. They'll be amazed at the end result in many cases. One very popular sponsor puts the link to the hosted gallery in the title of the blog post, which is fine on their own blog where the title link stays as they put it. But feed that post to another blog and the title of the post is now automatically linked by WordPress to the post page and the link to the hosted gallery is now nowhere in the post and the only links in the post go to the main tour page. (Once I caught this and started fixing it manually my signups with that program more than tripled).

wow, that is really interesting reading for me, I learn many new things, and will try to implement that in my feeds.
I am really sorry if this look like shameless spam, or thread hijack, but I really need honest criticism for my feeds in order to make them better. There is not much post, just started them, but still there is enough material for review.

It does seem like shameless spam but I'll take you at your word that was not the intention.

Since your using WP to format your feed, I'll have no problems with the that and the amount of text is pretty good.

The title of your post is "Romantic lesbian action" but nowhere in the body of that post does that phrase repeat itself. Since "sexy lesbian sluts" is used early in the body of your post and bolded it would have been a much better title if you hadn't linked it to your FHG.

Also if you know someone who speaks english as a first language it would be nice to have them edit your posts. It's not bad but for an American it reads a little rough.

I wouldn't use them as I'm a bit of a snob...and don't like to edit posts. Others may not be as snobbish and use them though

But I got to tell ya Pyjama is spelled Pajama and it would really help out if you used the "Alt tag"
Now tell me are those feeds available to affiliates I joined your program and there is no mention of feeds

I just spent the last two hours cleaning up three of my splogs where the sponsor insisted on using inline css, tables, and fonts - like they know better what I want than I do....

Deleted on more sponsor feed cuz it's just not worth the effort.

Kron - I like the fact that you want to learn - and what Walrus said has merit. As far as keyword use goes, hit me up on ICQ and I'll give you a short tutorial - or maybe I'll post some of my thoughts here if I get a minute. Mind if I use one of your posts as an example?

I too would like to know if those feeds are available to affiliates and if you have a solid way to embed my affiliate code - if so, I'll sign up for the program since I have a lesbian kissing blog with decent traffic and three or four shemale / tranny blogs.

I'll be the odd one out today, just in the mood for it I actually like morphed on some splogs. Some of the sentences come out so weird, it makes me as a reader go back and read them several times. It's almost like poetry! I think it may just make the text stand out and make the reader hang around the page for a bit longer.

You are right, I use writer who is not native English speaker. I myself also dont know English enough to use my own writing skills for feeds, for basic conversations it is ok, but I cant write fantasy.
And to answer on your question, yes those feeds are availiable for webmasters, just look at Suck Dollars main page, down, near bottom is 3 links for each site, separate pages for promo stuff for each site, those are just temporarily pages, until creator of cc buddie find time to install that proggie on my server)
