Facebook and More Traffic
I have been around for a long time and am for the most part very quite. Simply, I do not get Facebook. Today I was listening to the Clarke Howard Show and he quoted something about Facebook being (as of last week) the most visited internet property in the US with a 7% share. Up from last year’s 2% share.
Does anybody here use Facebook in their adult entertainment business? And more importantly is there a Facebook for Porn Dummies? Goodness knows I need it. Thanks guys for listening. |

I have seen links that have adult pages. Maybe they want it that way. By the way FB I think is too busy with something that's why this pages are not yet filtered.

Personally I don't get any of these social network groups. To me, it seesm that being on Facebook, Twitter or any other SNG means that I have just another page to keep updated.
I would like to hear an explanation from anyone who uses SNG's to build traffic. |

I opened an account on Facebook in the beginning of the year. And then, I made a page for my site Exquisite Angelz. Well, Facebook deleted my account about two days ago. I only threw links to my picture & video galleries as a way to keep fans up-to-date about my site with a preview that sometimes work and sometimes not but they were all non-nude.

I have about 600 fans on my Catfight Report page currently. I would love to find a better way to advertise my fan page rather than paying Facebook roughly $1 for every fan.

AJ Angel, do you know why your page was removed? Was it for something simple like not signing up as a business or something? I don't believe linking to naughty websites is a problem. I have seen businesses like Greenguy's up and running.
I too would like to know more about how to use social network sites. I twitter and get a little traffic, and Greenie just said he gets traffic from his facebook page. |

Then, I decided to enable it again to create a fan page in the beginning of the year since it has become a major social networking sites. Everything went well and all for three months than a week ago, I visited the site and they said my account was deleted. I followed up by sending them an e-mail but no words since then. |

The reason perhaps that it was deleted AJ was that...

Best thing you could do on face book is let them have theri dollar! I beleive at this point they ahve even done away with the IM ( Instant Messaging) who do not upgrade to a paid account with them. They want to turn profit like every one else on the net. I am not trying to justify their actions but to only highlight the fact that it is the way of the world as you know already. Monoplize on what you can. Personally it pissed me of on the fact they deleted my account as well as doing away with the Instant Messaging, that I was enjoying with a few various friends on another personal account as Di' Vad. |

Try logging in within another browser and use a different e-mail address. Make sure you sign up for a business account.

a little bit late, but still..
there are more than 400 million active users at facebook, so it is a huge number of them, who are willing to get off online. There was a thread about social network account management services in this forum. if I post direct link - it may be a violation, but here is link to that thread: http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ad.php?t=56842 p.s. also you can click on my signature.

Create a Page for a celebrity, band or business And it will take you here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php Another thing I don't care about facebook... The norm as you well know is that you can reactivate an account that was deactivated due to never being deleted. But what people don't realize I think is that even though they say they are deleting the account all information is still in the cach. The adminstrater just deactivates the account so that you can't log back in with the same password or email address you used before. FYI -- Everything is kempt in a database that they never get rid of. Thats why they had to produce safety nets with the security issues in settings. And then forewarned all that they must put those settings into affect or anything that you wrote on facebook would always be seen in the cach of the database that the search engines will always find. Its not unlike everyother forum out there actually. What ever gets said gets logged in databases that search engines can crawl through. Last edited by DIVAD3; 2010-03-24 at 07:04 AM.. |

AJ Angel, how did it work out?
Today, I set up my business page. I looked at Greenguy's page and Sarah Palin's page to compare and contrast. It was kind of fun to set up and look through all the various pages. The only annoying thing is every time I log in, it seems to default to the profile which is a person (me) and NOT my business page. So, I have to watch that. Here's hoping for some new traffic. |

It might be that someone was reporting your page as abusive or somehow insulting. Inactivity didn't help too..
