I am one person that was/is also affected by the tube sites, they suck, I don't like them. I've had to get a job partly because of them though mainly because of the US economic drop, thanks Bush! But they are here to stay unfortunately.

But let's look at history. Fabian bought Manwin 2-2.5 years ago? Did he build the tubes or buy them? He bought them as part of the package with Brazzers and everything.

Again contrary to popular belief Manwin doesn't have a team of people here uploading pirated videos. They have a team of people viewing the uploaded videos for the 7 deadly sins.. blood, incest, rape and I don't know the rest. That's all they review for. If something is pirated they wait for the DMCA and then they remove it.

People post all the time they should ban a person that uploads 3 "removed" videos like YouTube does. Fabian is in this business to make money, not lose it. The other tubes he does not own (xvideos, xhamster, xnxx and soooooooo many more) do NOT employ that rule so if PornHub did those users would just go elsewhere and he'd lose a ton of traffic and users. So he follows the law YouTube set a precedent for. Unless you get a DMCA for a video you do not remove it. That is why on YouTube you can watch Letterman, Leno and TV shows but then they mysteriously disappear. They disappear because NBC finally sent YouTube a DMCA.

Until EVERYONE changes, or the rules change, or the DMCA laws change, or Google drops them all from their search results, or Fabian buys them all LOL, nothing is going to change. Same reason Xhamster won't change either... they cannot afford to be different then they'd lose all their traffic.

It's just a sad fucking reality.

Indeed... Ramster has some good valid points...

I didn't say that Manwin is like the others...
I was just saying what the trend was...

Personally I don't know how people still pay for porn, since there is "free" porn everywhere.

Has for the tube philosophy, it's the old saying, If you can't beat them join them...

It concerns me when the new paradigm is adapt or die at virtually any cost. You can only end up becoming a serf to the Lord who originally screwed you over -- but I guess people have to eat. Some tubes "delete" DMCAed videos by renaming them and changing the uploader name while others hire outsourcing firms in south Asia to be "third party" uploaders. Where does it end?

One thing I should mention is that the owners of Manwin are not known. Manwin is a privately held, off-shore corporation. To my knowledge, Fabian has never shown proof of majority ownership. For a different perspective about Manwin read MikeSouth.com .

That is not the new paradigm, it is a very old paradigm. In fact it is such an old paradigm that it goes back to the invention of commerce. From the first time a caveman offered to trade an animal skin for a wooden club the rule has been "adapt or die". Once iron was discovered the trade would be for a metal axe, who wants a wooden club when metal weapons are available?

And this goes on right through history, including today. For example, there was a video rental shop down the road from me, and when DVD came in he decided to stick with video. He did not last long. Nowadays DVD rental stores are in the same situation with Blue Ray. And someday soon, Blue Ray rental stores will changing to whatever tomorrow's technology brings.

And this is also true in the porn industry. We are not magic. We do not exist separately from the rest of the world. We need to adapt or die too!

Personally (and this is an IMHO) I think the way forward is to push non-porn products on porn sites. Or at least the type of porn that is not easily available for free. At the moment, on most of my sites, about 30% of adverts are for traditional sponsors, 40% are for the adult eBooks mentioned in my signature, and about 30% are totally non porn. My earnings from my adult websites are about 10% traditional sponsors, 30% adult eBooks, and 60% non-porn. In other words I make three times as much from the eBooks than from traditional sponsors, and six times as much from non porn.

But up to the turn of the century my profits would have been 100% traditional sponsors. - I am evolving and adapting.
