We play Hockey and Basketball up here.
HS Football in MN - just to get in shape for BB or Hockey.
VA, TX, MS, AL, FL, CA - those are football States. (probably missing a bunch)

Green Bay doesn't have a dome, Chicago doesn't have a dome.
Remove them all and let's have some fun.
If you're a fan in MN, duh, you know it's 15F out.... you do have the clothes for it.

Would love to see a Texans(Dallas)/Vikes game in December without a dome, like the old Vikes/Dallas games at the Met... Now THAT was football.

GG - search and see how many Dome teams have won playoff games outdoors
MN sucks outdoors, especially away.

Anyway, I'm already past football and way into the NBA already.
Though we've sucked the past week or so.

Indy is planning a new stadium now, it will have a retractable roof like the one in Houston, and my guess is as long as the offense is as it is, the roof will be closed a lot.

So when Indy has the ball, the roof is closed & when the other team has the ball, the roof is open?

"the Patriots' 3-0 "Snow Plow Game" victory over Miami on Dec. 12, 1982. With neither team able to score during a raging snowstorm, tractor driver Mark Henderson -- a convicted burglar on a work-release program -- alertly cleared a path with his snow brush for John Smith's 33-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter.

Not surprisingly, the NFL quickly banned grounds crews from doing anything to create a physical advantage, but two heroes were born. The Patriots still use that John Deere tractor, and Henderson received a loud ovation when he drove it onto the field during a 2001 reenactment."

they still have it

2 or 3 years ago I heard he was interested in getting back into coaching

but I think having a website involving gambling would be bad for the NFL

I think I have to go with the Pats vs the Dirty Birds in 2 weeks....

Pats have too many Boilermakers playing for them for me not to root for them, and honestly.... they are just too damn good as a team.

Pitt has the feel good story going for them, and I like them as well, but just not enough “team” to beat the Pats.

No TO for Philly so I can root for them, but I think Vick will make the difference.

Philly will be considered the little brother to the Bills after today… 0-4….

Any one hear why kids are singing the national anthems today? I came in on the start of both so I didn’t hear who they were and why, but both were pretty good.

The Philly kid I assume was blind, may not have the talent to sing, but he had balls of steel to do it in front of 60,000 and that was the first time I have seen that many in the Military cry during the anthem, even a few players looked chocked up, so I assume there is a story to it.

And that girl who just did it in Pitt was AMAZING, and I am not one to say good things on kid singers, but I have a feeling a contract is in her future.

nah, if I was a sportscaster that made my living on saying who is going to win, then yeah, Id feel like a moron, but I’m just a fan who had the balls to post his picks at kick off.....

BTW, I predicted it would be Philly/NE at the start of the season.....
