I was 14 and in grade 9 the first time I was served in a bar.
By the 10th grade I was gaining access to trendy nightclubs thanks to being well endowed. Grade 11 photography class was where I created my fake id, although rarely needed it. Someone's licence with my own picture overlayed, photographed to make it seamless, then laminated with bank book covers. Us Catholic school girls had to have SOME fun after all |

Morning! Well I thought it was Tuesday today, but it's not all my fault. I was talking to a friend on the phone and she said it was Tuesday also. Damn maybe I shouldn't do anything today that requires me to use my brain
![]() Ah underage drinking, had a bar up in Maine that was way out on the back roads that served my friends and I at 14. Thought it was cool back then but when you become a parent you kind of think different. Jim don't be to upset with your daughter, turning 18 seems to make them not think to well. Hell my son turned 18 and a week later was in jail ![]() Have a great day! |

feeling a bit better
|
Growing up around a responsible Mom and a not-so responsible Dad (when it comes to drinking) it was pretty easy to pick a role model. Of course during my University years I did party and even carelessly drank then drove once or twice and thankfully I didn't do ANY damage out there. What's really funny though is now that I'm much more mature, I don't really like the taste of alcohol all that much unless there's some pizza around, then I will have a brewski with it. I have other, more refined preferences, that I might allude to, but of course would never really come out and talk about...

No...I talked to my daughter today and she is joining the class action lawsuit against the bar. I would but with her being 18, I can't. I do have a few friends on the lookout for these perverts that let all these underage girls in the door.
Don't get me wrong...I feel sorry when a bar gets busted for selling to a single minor. But, these guys let these kids in knowing they were underage. And, there were too many underage drinkers there to just slip by. |

Maybe it was her wakeup call and she'll stay out of bars until she's legal age

So she is suing because she willing walked in and knowing that she is only 18 she still drank illegally and thinks none of this is her fault?
Sorry Jim I think that is incredibly wrong, yes the bar fucked up and needs to lose their license but she was wrong in going and drinking and 2 wrongs do not make a right and I fail to see why she should benefit from it. |

NO! Im not a female - but being a dragon, I do eat them.
|
Someone ought to file a lawsuit against the parents for trying to shirk their responsilibility and lay the blame on someone else - ever wonder why things are so fucked up these days? Cause parents wont accept the blame any more - theyre too good so theyhave to blame someone else - pretty fucked up Jim

Morning!!
![]() Just got in from the World Furniture market show..much MORE interesting than the World of Concrete.. ![]() ![]() wow what a shock on this thread!! |shocking| A class action law suit because some bar let in a BIG group of underage drinkers?? WTF?? I thought it was fashionable these days to be in a bar and underage after all the Bush daughters did and Oh what.. nothing happened, not even a blurp on Fox about parental responsibility..so why not.. if it's ok for the 2 first daughters it must be ok for everyone else. ![]() I get highly amused when i see parents who are around my age that fucked their way thru the smokey haze of the 60's and 70's are now OUTRAGED that their children are smoking, drinking and fucking. I mean, whodda thought? I bet some of them even look at |shocking| porn. Ditto.. on the 'she was 18 and knew she was walking into a bar' bit. |

I'm not interested in the facts, I'm interested in my opinion.

Jim, she should also sue the company who made the liquor.
(That stuff can get minors drunk.) How about the glass company, that the booze was served in. (Don't they know that they can be made to hold booze that is served to minors.) Don't for get the stool company who provided a place to sit. (These lazy kids today love to sit when they drink.) How about the band that was playing on the radio at the bar. (So many songs about drinking, what young adult could say no.) Hell, I'll pour a couple of shots into my 18 yr old nephew and join the class action. Yee Haw.... ![]() |

All I know is that feeling the way I do today is one of the reasons that I rarely drink.
Two bottles of white wine with friends and then a bunch of Captains and Coke has not left me feeling like my normal bitchy wonder self today. lol |

![]() One of these days, I'll actually upload all the pics I took of him reviewing the property when he arrived...I'm so bad about stuff like that ![]() Damn Jim, I gotta agree with Torn here. Yea, the bar should lose their license to serve...but those kids need to take responsibility for their own actions. |
