Remember, your outbound calls are 'free' across the USA & Canada. If you had a NYC number, then inbound calls would not be toll calls (i.e. if the person in NYC calls you)
If you call them, it just goes against your minutes no matter what the number is that you have. For me to call NYC from my Florida number, its no different than me calling the neighbor.

Ok I'd be looking at the premium package then.
http://www.vonage.ca/products_premium.php It says MAKE calls. Is there a limit or charges for RECEIVING calls? I guess I'll have to give them a call to find out. If all is good I'm ordering it tomorrow. |

I'm pretty sure incoming calls go against your minutes. With an unlimited plan, you don't have that problem. Then you'll want that NYC virtual number which is another $5/month or so, and you would be set.
