A little constructive criticism and insight would be appreciated

Since I am even asking this question it is fairly easy to determine I am very new at this. These are the last 3 galleries I created with 1 being the latest and 3 being the 1st one. I have submitted each to over 20 sites and had very few acceptances. Could somebody please tell what I need to do to improve the galleries and more importantly the acceptance levels of the sites I am submitting them to. Thanks For the Help, Bill.

Impressive sites! Are you sure you're a newbie?

Are your sites pending approval at most places or have they been rejected? If they've been rejected did they state why?

I don't see anything wrong with your sites and can't figure out why they would be rejected. As I stated above, your sites are awesome!

Thanks for the nice reply. They do not send back any reason for rejection, they are just not listed. Quite depressing, I have been working very hard at this and reading all the boards for advice. I wish I knew, hopefully somebody on the board will be able to offer advice. Thanks for your help.

1st things 1st - those aren't "galleries", they are "Free Sites"

Site 1 - like DallasDeb said, the pics are a tad bit too big in file size. Also, the last pic on galery 2 looks very out of place, since she's getting naked in 1 thru 9

Site 2 - More & more Link Lists are not accepting vid caps for the cotnent, so you might want to check their rules before you submti those (if you haven't already)

Site 3 - the ad on the top right of each gallery may be coinsidered a blind link because it does sorta look like a thumbnail with the legit thumbnail sitting next to it on the left.

All in all, the sites are rather good for a self-proclaimed newbie, just need a little fine tuning

Thanks for the help. Keep it coming. A couple of questions. How can you tell if the pictures you download from the sponsor are video-caps? I was told by a Webmaster not to re-size the pictures you receive from a sponsor, so what do you do if the file size is too large. Thanks Bill.|rasta|

As far as resizing the sponsor's content, I don't see why you can't, as long as you're not cropping it & just resizing - but of course, check with them 1st

Thanks, I understand what to look for in video-caps now. Are you really the guy that started Greenguy Link O’Rama? Because that is just awesome that someone of you stature would take their time to help somebody as new as me! Reading the boards it’s easy to see lots of abbreviations and terms used that are taken for granted as expected knowledge, and that is just not the case. There is a steep learning curve and I am finding the board a great place to get advice. Thanks, Bill

you might want to double check the linking codes on the indian site, because the way you have it i doubt it's going to track your sales, it shouldn't have the parenthesis:

I will check that in the future. I don't have a clue what I am doing, just trying to get clicks now. I don't think I should change this one though, from what I have researched the boards, they tell you not to make changes to your sites after you have applied for a link. I really don’t know what I should do, so I will just leave it as is, and try to fix the next one. Thanks, Bill

I very seriously doubt any linklist owners will delist/decline/blacklist you for changing a link code. Most will even allow you to change your ad text/banners as long as you don't break their rules in the process of changing your site.

I just wanted to tell you that by leaving that site up you will be wasting bandwidth, and lining your sponsor's pocket with free money.

Hey billaaa777, welcome to the board

There aren't many LL owners who will have a problem with site changes as long as all the rules are still followed. Changing sponsor banners, changing sponsors, etc. is just a part of the biz...especially when you've got a bad ref link you need to fix.

The input you've already gotten is solid, the only thing I'd add is that TCG content is getting pretty played out.

You're ahead of most newbies, so do some tweaking to those sites and you should be off and running. |rasta|
