WHO IS FONZY!?! Don't they teach you anything at school?

I live near London and was actually in the city this morning when the attacks went off.
I had used the underground just 45 minutes before the explosion. To let everyone know, there is an air of disbelief all around. London Transport (who I work for) is suspended apart from outer bus routes. Zone1 bus routes ie central London are suspended. The railways we think will return to a skeleton service and Transport For London are orgainising boat services to evacuate the millions of workers who commute to work each day. At the moment, 45 confirmed dead. Up to a thousand have been reported to be injured. Its another sad day |

Maybe now the Govt. will kick out the extremists who call for this shit to happen while living in state funded homes here.
Hope everyone here close to this is OK |

-- Death toll in London blasts at least 40, U.S. sources say, citing British government as source.

Prawn, glad to see you are ok. I was worried about you. My parents are in London, I am sure they are fine, but we haven't heard anything from them yet.
Hey man since you are ok, why don't you go update the TGP? |

NO! Im not a female - but being a dragon, I do eat them.

From what Ive seen and read on the BBC, the Londoners have a hell of a great attitude towards all of this and their emergency services are excellent under fire - perfect execution of the terror response plan
Still waiting to see if its really terrorists or something else not thought of yet What gets me is the accounts from people that were involved and their calm non-panic response - wheras you watch the US news stations and they are trying to panic everybody with their reports - guess we have a lot to learn from the British |

linkster your so right
they executed the plan like pro's here there would be so much confusion and US media is nothing but fear mongors. |

I saw that on the news. I hope those people are ok. My gf, told me that they have a warning for her city. She lives in Stockholm, Sweden.

I agree Linkster -
The Brits seem to have one hell of an attitude about this. MPR (minnesota public radio) switched to the BBC all afternoon. They, the BBC, all seemed calm cool and collected, while CNN and Fox is trying to whip up some sort of scary spin on this. I'm truly sorry that this happened, but this just adds to my distaste of the modern media here.

I personally think the only reason we appear calm after todays incidents is because we have learned. We have seen the devastation of Sept 11. We watched as Madrid was attacked. We have had so long to prepare and "get used" to the fact that this was going to happen.
My hat goes off to all the emergency services, both here in the UK and those brave firefighters, police and ambulance crews in NY. We were prepared. The US attack was unexpected and the shear magnitude of the Twin Towers would have had any city in chaos. We have learnt at the expense of others. |

Arghhhh...submit yer sites ya ruddy swabs!

Just fuckin awful
Still boggles the mind that people actually do this to other people. Hats off to all the emergency workers over there...good to hear that they're as on top of things as is possible. Sending good thoughts to our friends on the other side of the pond. And condolences to those that have lost loved ones in this deplorable event |

feeling a bit better
|
This is terrible.
I read on a Canadian news website that Canadian Intelligence (CSIS) reports, that the next target will be Toronto. Why don't the intelligence arms of ALL the governments collaborate and pool their resources and put pressures on the governments that provide safe havens for these extremists and force them to be brought to justice?

Are you getting new information today about who is responsible and/or a possible response?
