Someone hotlinked my pics
I noticed from my referrer logs that someone hot linked about half a dozen full size images from one of my freesites to a reasonably busy message board. On checking the url I found the pics there and sure enough the properties showed that the pics were indeed hotlinked.
I'm not too worried about the loss of bandwidth at the moment as I have plenty to play with, but should this happen regularly then it might become more of an issue. Other than contacting the owner and asking for them to be removed (which is probably more trouble than it is worth) any advice on how to deal with this? |

Deny all hotlinking with .htaccess. If Fusker gets a hold of you, you won't feel like you have much breathing room with your bandwidth.

You can now put whatever you want in this space :)

There was a recent thread in the programming section where people posted several solutions on how to prevent hotlinking. Just run a search and you'll find it.
